Pak Lah: Think out of the box

.......but pangkah dacing. hehehhehe.... How are we supposed to think out of the box if you always give us a box to think in. Perhaps you should try to step out of the box once a while so that you understand and know what is going on outside of your box.

Today I recieve a very important lesson for a mistake I made and I purposely made the mistake so that I could learn from it because the person whom I made the mistake with is a Principal of the Islamic Primary school in front of my tiny shop for I know that he will show me my mistake and help me to correct it. Had it been someone else maybe I would be so lucky so as to be able to learn from the mistake. Now..... thats thinking out of the box. Too bad I am not a student anymore for I would be sent into the ISA lock-up if Pak Lah found out about the mistake I made.

My tiny shop has a photo copy machine and I make copies of copyrighted books. May Allah forgive me for trying to spread knowledge cheaply as most of the recipient of the knowledge may not be able to afford the copyrighted version. And may Allah give the copyright owner all the pahala he/she deserve for all the effort in spreading the knowledge.

But that was not the mistake. My mistake was I overcharged my services for copying and binding the book for the principal, after sincerely not knowing how much to charge. I charged according to the value I put on my effort to make the 20 copies and bind it. After being told and after some minor research, I realised that effort doesn't count for much unless you do it for some one important and can afford to pay for your effort.

Btw, I am currently writing a dissertation on Islamic Banking in Malaysia. If any one can help me please do help. Thank you.
